Glad Tidings

Glad tidings to the poor man for not knowing greed,

As he understands the difference between wants and needs

Glad tidings to the blind man for not envying that which he sees

As he is grateful for the fact he still speaks

Glad tidings to the old man for knowing the weight of time,

For a forever ticking clock is not promised for you or I

Glad tidings to those who worship at a young age,

For your worship is life long and not rushed as you age

Glad tidings to the stranger for wandering this earth alone,

For you are known in the heavens that one day may be your home

Glad tidings to the muslims who honour this name,

For knowing the ground they stand on will one day be their graves

Glad tidings to those who remember their Lord,

For this life is a test, your actions, the scores.

And verily do the hearts find peace in the remembrance of their Lord.
