Righteous Companions

The other day on my way to fajr I saw two young guys walking to the masjid together. No older than 14/15 years old and these guys were in thobes at 4.30am walking to the masjid to pray fajr.

In that moment I realised what it meant to have righteous Companions. Subhanallah at 14/15 all I cared about was football and playing games, I struggled to wake up for fajr let alone walk to the masjid for it, and here we have two young guys doing it. Maybe one of them woke the other up or they made a plan during the day to go together who knows but it made me realise we all need someone in our lives who will push us in our Islam.

Our friends are a representation of us, they rub off on us as we do on them. We should be surrounding ourselves with those who bring us closer to Allah & at the same time we should be bringing our friends closer to Allah.
